Programmer Analyst :
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Implements approved changes to application software to maintain currency standards, correct problems, modify or enhance applications function. • Participates in the design and selection of application software to develop skills and knowledge. • Participates in the definition of functional and technical requirements for application software to develop skills and knowledge. • Prepares application software procedures and documentation for usage, operation, backup and recovery, problem resolution, shutdown and initialization, and process automation in cooperation with technical support and operations staff. • Adheres to department policies, procedures and standards in the development and implementation of software. • Prepares change control documentation. • Prepares audit and internal control procedures. • Documents new programs or changes to existing programs. • Tests application software to assure accuracy, integrity, interoperability and completeness to achieve desired results in cooperation with the end user. • Trains user and operations staff and validates ability to use and run applications. • Documents testing and training results. • Analyzes reasons for failure and revises assigned programs and/or procedures as necessary.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Programming. Will consider associate degrees with job experience. • Experience using one or more programming languages: Visual Basic, SQL, HTML, Crystal Report, Sequel Reports, AS/400 and others • Expertise in software problem diagnostic tools, and other tools required to implement, monitor, diagnosis and maintain assigned applications. • Knowledge of Sage500, Infor CRM (aka: SalesLogix), Infor AX, SharePoint 2013 is a plus. • 3-5 years of programming experience • Be results driven with solid problem solving/analysis skills. • Good communication proficiency with excellent teamwork orientation • Able to travel on occasion.
